Assessment
We run dockside programmes, classroom visits and skipper briefings up and down the coast. The audience that matters most is not the general public — it is the people who operate vessels in orca habitat every day.
Materials are free and built for reuse. Our identification guides, curriculum units and slowdown briefings are used by school districts, tour operators and harbour authorities that have no formal relationship with us, which is the point.
Public sighting reports feed directly into the research programme. A well-briefed community is a distributed monitoring network.
